Plenty Highway:

The Plenty Highway traverses an almost completely flat, sandy terrain speckled by Spinifex and Mitchell grass. If the rains have fallen, it can be a glorious sight with colourful wildflowers lining the roadside.

It is a dry weather road only and not recommended for trailers.

·         Best travelled: March to October.

·         Start and Finish point: Alice Springs – Boulia.

·         Total distance: 811km.

·         Approx time to cover: 3 days.

·         Longest distance between fuel supplies: Tobermorey Station to Boulia (249km). Cape Crawford.

·         Availability of other supplies: Alice Springs, Gem Tree, Atitjere, Jervois Station, Tobermorey Station, Boulia.

·         Rating: Medium to hard.
