This was by far the steepest section of the track. A good chance to check out the state of the undercarriage!

MT Mee Trip

A trip with the family into Mt Mee State Forest.  The tracks are rough & rocky for most of the trip, with the entire drive taking about 6 hours.  We had a laugh as usual, and for those of you who have done the "A Break" on this track - yes, the Oouty made it up & over easily.

A couple of other 4WD drivers commented with things like "how did you get here?"  Well, exactly the same way everyone else did - by driving the tracks.

This drive is a bit much for most "soft-roaders" but the Outlander has pleanty of ground clearance with the new rubber, and traction was never an issue.

This is another beautiful section of SE Qld, and is well worth the trip.

The kids especially liked the steep downhill parts, squealing and laughing as Mum panicked a bit!

As this track goes for quite a long way, I suggest taking a picnic lunch along, and stopping somewhere scenic for a break.

There is a nice waterhole about 1/2 way through the track, but it tends to be a little dry if there hasn't been much rain.

If you are wanting to stay a little longer in area to explore or simply relax, try Neurum Creek camping grounds - plenty to do for the kids, and lots of 4WD tracks within a short drive.
