After the drowning at the Glasshouse Mountains, a newer Jeep (with snorkel) replaced the wet one.

Redbank Plains Day Out

We did this trip over two days, the first day just the NEW Jeep and the Oouty, then the next time we had a lot more vehicles to play in the rouch stuff.

As you can see in the video, we found rocky tracks, dirt, and mud - all the makings of a fun day out.

The Jeep got stuck (again?!) but this time we managed to get him out without any damage - maybe a little damaged pride?

The Oouty performed well again, and once again we all had a ball.

These days out area great way to hone our offroad driving skills, with snatch recoveries, getting out of mud experience (the Oouty did get out by itself thanks) and general dirt road practice. I did a 12 years in the RAAF, and a lot of that time was spent in Landrovers in the bush. Needless to say, the Oouty is a long way from the old 110's, but offroad driving is still the same. I take the slow but steady approach - that way I don't end up breaking my daily drive either.
