2000 - Aroud Tassie in 4 weeks
After getting back from our first outback trip, Tassie was chosen as our next major trip.
We packed up the mighty Paj, drove from Sydney down to Melbourne and boarded the boat for the journey across the sea.
We knew that we couldn't see all of Tassie in 4 weeks, but we just hoped to experience enough of it, to appreciate what is to offer. I think we easiily acheived our goals.
From chasing Tassie Devils and Wombats on the east coast, the enjoying the best seafood I have ever tasted at Bicheno and Strahan, Tassie was a real eye opener.
Our route more or less circumnavigated the island in an anti-clockwise direction, taking in Bicheno, Hobart, Strahan, the central lakes, Cradle Mountain, Stanley and then home across the top.
I really enjoyed the trout fishing on these high altitude lakes, but the November snow confused us.
The air is so crisp in this region, that it make you wonder what us city-dwellers are breathing in everyday.
Thanks to the trusy Paj, we had not one problem and the vehicle ran great.
