RallyPaj - The History

Cross Country Rallies (like the Dakar) have been a passion of mine for a long time. While working on running such events here in Australia my NM Pajero was sign-written up as a rally car and used as a promotional vehicle, a rally course survey vehicle, and on several occassions as a Zero and Sweep vehicle in both Cross Country and regular rallies.

Hence many of my friends began to call the NM "RallyPaj". I then adopted the name as my online alias on various motorsport and 4WDing forums. The name stuck - both my car and I began to get called 'RallyPaj'. When I upgraded to the NP VR-X  the name was carried on with many calling my new Pajero "RallyPaj2".

Along with the name has come a fearsome reputation. The reputation of a well-kitted out vehicle that will go everywhere and anywhere.

In my work as a motoring  journalist and general 4WD enthusiast, the RallyPaj and I head off-roading almost every weekend. Our adventures take us all over NSW, ACT, VIC and QLD. Ranging from easy touring trips right through to serious off-roading, my Pajero never lets me down.
