Haunted Stream
This is one lovely area with plenty of small river crossings and enough medium rated tracks in and out of the area. We did a three day drive through this area in Jan 2006. The tracks are as follows -
Day 1
Dargo heading north to turn right into Jones Rd
Follow Jones Rd to turn left into Baldhead Rd (visit Mt Baldhead on the way through) and then a right into Boomerang Spur.
Down onto Haunted Stream track now to bed down overnight futher down.
Day 2
Continue along Huanted Stream track to turn left into Dalhstrom Track and then a right at Angora Range Track getting onto the Great Alpine Rd.
Heading north on the Great Alpine Rd to Swifts Creek and a left turn into Cassilis Rd towards the old goldmines.
After looking around the goldmine area it was up the challenging Powers Gully Track to turn right into Parslow Track and the start of the Berrigan Rd.
Down Berrigan Rd past the Dogs Grave to turn left into Messmate Spur Track. Down to Camms Top Place for another overnight stay.
Day 3
Leaving Camms Top Place it was up Murdering Spur to turn right into Berrigun Rd and then a left into Stock Route Track that took us down to Upper Dargo Rd. Follow Upper Dargo Rd back to Dargo where the adventure finished.
