We headed up to Wallan about 30k's before Melbourne for a huge scoutting do , and discovered that there was a mountain near by that was renowned for great 4wding, being from the mallee, where all there is, is sand and loam were we pretty up for it.
When we got there we found jagged rocks, thick stagnant mud and very steep slopes......we were shitting ourselves.
But we all made it back without a scratch on the door or a sick engine......however we were covered in mud from head to toe, and our vehicles also had a bit of mud on them, it was a great afternoon and i could have stayed there for a few days just driving round, but its was getting dark and the beer was cold.
This will definatley not be the last time that I head up to mount depression.
