OFF ROADING DAYS
These are the days when me and a mate or two regularly take our everyday commuter 4wd's to Sydney's Menai just to let the machines play in the bush...
Rock climbing, deep puddle crossings, and thick red mud sliding are the challenges we tackle with our vehicles. Together with my Pajero, accompanying vehicles include : Holden Frontera, Nissan Patrol, Suzuki Vitara, Toyota 4 Runner, Holden Rodeo and Toyota Prado.
We get into some difficult conditions a lot of the time (on purpose) and everytime someone pulls someone else out of trouble. All vehicles have had their fair share of being bogged.
It is unbelievable that my Pajero gets through all this punishment on the weekend and then, albeit profusely dirty, continues to take me 66km to work every day of the week without fail (knocking wood here).
Sometimes after Menai, the engine bay is completely caked in mud, the underbody thickened by a 20kg layer of red soil all over, the door sills have a high water mark at about waist level, and even the roof is completely splattered with mud!
