Canning Stock Route 2008
In July 2008, a group from the Mitsubishi 4WD Club SA went on a liesurely 12 week camping trip from Adelaide to Alice Springs, then across the Tanimi to Halls Creek. We went on to the Bungle Bungle before returning to Halls Creek for supplies.
From there we headed back to Bililuna to commence the north to south run down the CSR over the next 4 weeks.
At Well 33 we took a couple days and went to visit Marble Bar.
Once back at Well 33 we continued on to Willuna. The trip was very interesting an at times testing on the vehicles but was worth the effort overall. The sand hills were very rutted particularly on the southern face and the corrugations bone shaking on both the Tanimi and the CSR.
Certainly recommend the trip to the serious 4WD'er.
On the way back to Adelaide we went to Kalgoorlie, Nullabor, Cook and other diversions before arriving home.
