Getting a tow bar

Who would have thought getting a towbar fitted would cause so much confusion. After doing the ring around and getting three quotes we started to wonder if the spare wheel woud hit on anyting we wanted to tow....thats funny no one mentioned that as a problem, when we asked we were reassured...no problem!  Hmm did some research as the measurements just didnt look right, sure enough you have to buy a rear wheel lift kit.We decided to go direct to Mitsubishi, its funny unless you know the right questions to ask nobody was telling us.
Well stay tuned this is the beginning of our adventure,we have hired an off road camper trailer and are headed to north queensland,og did i mention we only have four weeks?
Keep you posted

We also have a NS Pajero.Which we got when new, fitted a tow bar and they added a lift kit,(said that it needed it) we also have a RTT (Roof Top Tent) so we can tow our boat when required, and it doesn't affect the reversing camera,( the lift kit that is).

Alex, what year model is your Pajero. I have an NS and have a tow bar fitted, yes the spare wheel, depending on what I tow does hit on some of the hitches. The lift kit for the spare, how far does it lift it. Enjoy your travels, we have an off road camper, it is about 10 years young now and we love it. Mark
