A Good Blokes Trip!!
Well I'm back after a great trip with Les & Peg. What an inspiration that bloke is to see the places he went, (putting the great Pajeros to the side for a minute), well you had to see it to believe it, (just have a look at the pic with Les climbing a gorge at Lawn Hill on all fours!)....
We travelled just under 11300klms going up the Kidman way to Karumba across to Cairns up to Cooktown along the Bloomfield Track down the East coast to Rainbow Beach then back inland to Home.
Now to the great Pajero! Well I've had mine from new in 02' after 6 years lets just say I'd buy another without hesitation.
And as this story is really about a good mate of mine with special needs and as a member of the 4WD Action Forum I engaged the help of Forum members to help find a 4wd to suit Les's needs. It wasn't long after that that we found a NM DID 3.2 Auto in SA so a forum member checked it out and Mitsubishi SA , The Pajero Club of Vics technical Advicer Dave gave advice, the previous owners shipped the Pajero to Vic at their expense Les & Peg collected it, drove to the bank & transfered funds to previous owners! (Forum Members raised just under $7300 to help Les purchase the Pajero it wasn't charity it was an act of true Aussie Mateship!!); Why am I telling you this well as you know the forum is made up of all types of 4wdrives and you know what! We all agreed the Pajero was a safe reliable true 4wd that would get Les and Peg there and back.
I've also got to tell you while most towing was done on the black stuff we put the Pajeros to the test. Mine has a few mods but Les 's is standard except B/Bar, D/Lights & UHF radio, ( WHICH by the way 4WD Action Magazine & the guys from ECB, Lightforce and GME donated to Les), & I've got to tell you he put The Pajero Club Of Victorias 4wdrive training course to good use. He went through washouts, water crossings, mud, corrugations & beach sand without any problems at all. Please have a look at 4WD Action site follow the link

Yours in 4WDriving,
