A touching story of Aussie Mateship and 4WDriving!

My wife and I purchased a Pajero Nm Exeed 3.2 DID in 02' and have been on many great adventures.

But I want to tell you about a great Aussie Mateship story that is unfolding as I type this. And YES it does involve the great Pajero!

In short a mate of mine has a muscle wasting disease and been told he has 2-3 years left of mobility. Since 87' Les has been a Minister and prior to that a missionary overseas. Now Les being the man he is decided that he wasn't going to sit back and wait, he decided he was going to purchase a 4WD and see Australia.

We got talking as he has special needs due to his disease and we realised that the Pajero suited. I asked Les if I could ask the 4WDrive community on 4WD Actions Forum, (http://www.4wdmonthly.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=49015).

Well the reaction was fantastic I was prompted to open an account to help purchase a better 4WD. 4WD Action gave approval and also came on board, TJM Traralgon and their suppliers donated product to be auctioned with all funds and donations from forum members going into the account.

We found a Pajero in SA and again with help from Forum members and the Pajero Club of Vic the Pajero was trucked to Melbourne by the previous owners after reading the forum and Les transferred funds after collecting the Pajero.

Les took out a loan which we hope to clear with the funds raised by forum members. So Les is the proud owner of a GLS NM 3.2 DID auto.

The Pajero club donated a 4WDrive training course which Les attended and Colin Watson Mitsubishi Donated a 3 year 175,000klm drive line warranty.

Remember this is not a charity! and that's what makes this such a great Aussie story of Mateship.

Les and his wife Peg are leaving on their Adventure on the 11th July with me following in my Pajero as support vehicle. Les intends to go up the Kidman Way to Karumba across to Cairns up the coast road to Cook Town and down the East coast with a trip over to Fraser Island. Les intends to do many off road side trips from base camps along the way.

Yes this will be another great Pajero Experience/Adventure but even better will be seeing Les do his trip and return safely on his great Pajero Adventure.

Yours in 4WDriving,
Gus. (Gary Davis).

P.S  Thanks to all those who have supported this great cause.
