Great Ocean Road

Great Ocean Road.

Experience one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives. The journey along the Great Ocean Road features huge cliffs, raging surf, tranquil bays, lush rainforests, towering rock stacks and fascinating wildlife.
Discover the dramatic rock sculptures of the Twelve Apostles, beautiful waterfalls and a spectacular treetop walk through the Otways rainforests.
Wildlife is abundant throughout the Great Ocean Road region. See southern right whales at Warrnambool, kangaroos and koalas at the Tower Hill State Game Reserve and thousands of glow worms at Melba Gully State Park.
For a change of pace, you can also explore some of the fantastic food and wine the area has to offer. There are two excellent wine regions, situated at either end of the Great Ocean Road – the Geelong wine region and the Henty wine region.
If you would prefer to stay on the more active side of things, there are also a number of beautiful surf beaches along the coast. Anglesea and Fairhaven are two of the more sleepy ‘seasiders’, or if a vibrant beachside community is more your thing, then be sure to pass through Lorne.
Whatever your fancy, the Great Ocean road is truly a gateway to discovery!
