Exmouth Road Trip

A few weeks ago a friend and I embarked on an adventure packed trip up North. As far as WA goes, i had never been North of Lancelin and decided it was time to explore a little more of my home state. Unfortunately we were restricted to only ten days but optimistically set off from Perth on a cold Monday morning, adamant we were going to experience a taste of what our north has to offer. Our first night was spent in Kalbarri, what a great little town, the inlet and views from red bluff really are worth taking...

Living it up in Townsville

We spent a few months in Qld. It really is a great place, the weather is awesome, especially in June-July. There really is so much to see there. we covered everything from the theme parks of the Gold Coast up to the Daintree rainforest North of the state. Most of our time was spent in Townsville, (working to keep the trip financed), it is a place which really grew on me. This photo was takes about 20 minutes south of Townsville, just after we drove out for the last time. Great example of the weather up there. I will...

Inland NSW

One of the greatest places we stumbled accross by accident was the New England national park in inland NSW, we decided to head inland from Ballina to slow down our cracking pace, it was a good decision, its a place worth visiting. Despite having amazing lookouts and scenery, walking through the trails of the national park was like nothing i had ever seen before. Moss covered rainforest vegetation and waterfalls, i felt like i had walked into Jurassic Park!

Canberra

We spent a few weeks in Canberra working on vineyards to get the cash up again. It is a great city, but its cold, a couple of times the Paj had a layer of ice covering the bonnet. It's a place id well recommend checking out though, seeing the national Museum and War Memorial makes the trip worthwhile in itself. We were fortunate enough to stumble accross EPIC (Exhibition Park In Canberra), its a fancy name for the showgrounds but for only 10 bucks a night with ablutions it was a bargain, definitely check it out if you plan on...

On the way back to WA

At Balladonia on the Nullarbor. Kinda in the middle of nowhere. It was crazy to think that after seven months of being a nomad i could go back and see my family and live in a house, rather than live out of a 4WD, (not that the Paj is a bad place to be). This was when i really looked back on the whole adventure and what I had achived, it was undoubtedly the best experience of my life. My car truly had been awesome, it got me and my mate half way round the country and back again without...
